Sicily is the top contender on the travel list right now; all I need to do is figure out when I can actually take vacation, and for how long. Then the planning begins!

It is a 90 minute walk from the center of Palermo to Monreale. It is not "right in town."
It is possible that PalenQ is confusing Monreale with la Zisa. The latter is a short walk from the Catacombs of the Capuchins (tons of skeletons in the basement)

Sandralist, a friend who lived many years in Italy and often visited Sicily told me absolutely not to miss la Zisa. Thanks for the reminder.

What are the dates you are travelling? You've seen my thread and I was wondering if we crossed paths at all. We arrive in Catania on May 15 and leave Palermo on May 29. Any chance we can have that drink?!
