Barnum mentioned 24 E per person... the 45 E I mentioned was total... divided by the 3 of us that was 15 E each.

As belairpatrol mentions, after a transatlantic flight of 7 hours in my case, plus the useless 3 hours I'll have spent at the airport before the flight, the last thing I want to do is get jammed onto a commuter train. And then still have a walk or metro or cab ride to the ultimate destination of my hotel or apartment.
Taking a TGV is one thing, the RER and/or metro is not quite the Thalys or TGV...
But chacun a son gout! If everyone here thought the same way it would be a boring place.
