Shuttle or taxi from CDG?
There are five of us traveling in June to Paris. We will be staying near Rue Cler. It appears that with the shuttle you call them and then wait for pick up, while the taxis are available immediately. We're traveling with three kids, so faster is better, but I'd appreciate any advice on this issue. Also, what should I expect to pay?

With that many, I'd consider Paris Shuttle. Taxis take only 3 per. Paris shuttle is waiting for us always. Contact Mark. Reasonable, dependable, and getting us to our destination on time (in my experience). Do a search on this board for Paris shuttle to find Marks email address.

I believe in taking taxis over the shuttles now. But there are only 3 of us total. Since it's 5 of you probably a shuttle is best. I doubt the shuttle co. will have other passengers sharing with you as there are 5 of you but I'm not sure. If that's the case for some reason, be prepared to possibly drop the other passengers off first and enjoy the scenic views.

With Paris Shuttle, do they wait for you with your name on a placard? or do you have to call when you get there. Or is that another shuttle service. I will be solo, so a taxi might be more expensive. I want convenience, but I don't want to spend too much either. I am not too excited about having to call when I get there. I'd like to just jump into something and be on my way.

Since you are 5 people but 3 are children I believe a taxi will take you. It is incorrect that taxis will only take 3 people. There are many taxis now for 4 or more. You may just have to wait a few minutes in the taxi line until a cab that is large enough comes up. DO NOT take a taxi from someone who approaches you either in the terminal or just outside. Take only a taxi marked Taxi Parisien.

I had a good experience with ParisShuttle. All instructions were clear. I called them and spoke to an English speaking representative when I arrived. They already knew the details and confirmed it. The shuttle was there in no time.
