Shopping for Longchamp Bags

The Nylon ones are the recognized one but if you shop the Paris store, some of the leathers can compete with other designers.
Marg., flash a picture of a Salvor, I've only seen the marsupiums they make.

I agree, some of the leathers are wonderful. All the spring colors are out, and I'm drooling. I can't buy another bag. It's my new weakness. I have no problem finding unusual colors; now, if I could only find a black one I liked.

They are still the marsupiums you know of. Useful for holding a lot, but alas, too delicate for my school going days.
I'm not fond of the Longchamp nylon bags, and used to have a Longchamp leather bag I gave to my aunt. Felt it wasn't anything special. Go ahead, gasp away.
Found nothing special with Goyard either, although I like the geometric shapes. Just not enough to justify the expense. Even Marc Jacobs has fallen off my radar screen in terms of bags. Now that's a huge gasp for even me!

If you like Longchamp, you might like Delvaux - the Belgian handbaggier.

I don't like them either but at least they are not so plasticky.

I find it interesting that when some people don't like the choices of others (Longchamps vs. whatever) they feel the need to denigrate those choices to prove how "au courant" they are. It seems kind of mean to me but maybe I'm just in a bad mood today. If you don't like it and others do, just be quiet about it. No need to make others feel inadequate. We can do that to ourselves!

I use only the nylon that fold for travel. The large is for dirty clothes, the medium for when I was able to carryon my three bottles of olive oil. I have a great Gucci with no noticable logo. (in black leather with a tiny gucci in gold near the closure.)
I'm not a fan of delvaux.

This site is for helping people. I'm only trying to help. People denigrate others here all the time. It's par for the course. That's why I like it - you will find I don't denigrate those with "proper" travel related questions. This sort of rubbish belongs in the lounge along with the scented candles.

Really? How odd. I think you see this board as an opportunity to exercise your pathetic attempts at oneupsmanship.

That doesn't surprise me at all.

Obviously, to some posters, shopping is an important part of their travel. This is an odd comment coming from one who starts numerous posts that have nothing to do with travel, such as a recent one on how lonely it was in Europe before the other posters came aboard.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds you toxic, but perhaps the only who is not too polite to say so.
