shoe question again

So, I am reading about the need to wear comfortable shoes and how Pumas are really in fashion in Paris. But, Pumas don't match with everything, particularly slacks, skirts. Will be doing lots of walking and rarely wear a flat shoe--vertically challenged--Any suggestions on suitable shoes to wear besides flats/pumas; the cute slip on heeled sandals you see everywhere in US go very well with slacks, skirts, dressy, casual, etc., but not good for walking. Seems like a silly question, but any suggestions on types/brands?

Buy Jil Sander puma in metallic hues/slimmed down profiles, they're dressier, and are more versatile as a result.

I've a pair of black perforated leather ones I bought a few seasons ago, and I'm still wearing them this summer, truly a testament to their practicality.

Jil Sander pumas this season have completely flat soles, last season she did a weird pair with what I can best decsribe as "egg-box" style soles.

If you want something with a heel, but not too high she also does a fantastic range of shoes. If you want to suffer and spend a whole day in high heels, I admire you, it's elegant and gives poise and height, but if you want to be practical, Jil Sander's a good route to take!

The best shoes are ones not bought specifically for your trip. There's nothing special about 'travel shoes'. And the brands that work for one person don't for others (Mephisto and Joseph Siebel are popular but I hate them). I encourage you to go shopping and see what works for your own style of dress.
