Peynet and Sempé are my two favorite Franch cartoonists. When I was in Paris in February being a flaneur, I spotted a poster on a shop door, for a Sempé exhibit at an art gallery.
I hopped on the Metro and saw the exhibit and bought a limited edition (500) of his unpublished animal(mostly dogs)drawings.
Most of you will know him from his New Yorker covers.
