Seeking advice on trains connecting with flights at CDG

I’m going to France and was hoping someone here might be able to answer a question I have about trains and flights. The latest check-in for my flight home is at 19.00, and I have two options getting to the airport (Charles de Gaulle), from where I’ll be staying in France, either a train that arrives at the TGV station at the airport at 12.14 or one that arrives there at 17.35.

The first option is obviously not preferable, but I’ve never been to Paris before and I have no idea how complicated it is to get from the TGV station to CDG1, or how much time you have to allow at the airport. Is there any hope I might be in time if I take the later train, or should I take the earlier one? Thanks in advance!

If that later TGV arrives on time you should easily be able to check in by 1900. The station isn't all that far from CDG-1

It's less than a ten-minute ride on the new CDGVAL driverless shuttle train between the TGV station at Terminal 2 and Terminal 1. Trains run continuously and it's free. So you'll be fine taking the later train to CDG.

You should be off the train and at your check-in counter in less than 20 minutes.

Thanks so much to all for the help! I have a small follow-up question, how do I find the shuttle train at the train station, do the signs for it say CDGVAL or something else?
