search info for newbies like me

we have all read the post on doing a search before posting a question. I found out yesterday that you need to register to do extensive searches, which makes perfect sense but didn't cross my mind for some reason. when I wasn't logged in a search on digital cameras only brought up a couple of posts. After registering to ask a question I went back and searched again and got a lot more hits. just an FYI from someone who doesn't visit message boards often.

hmmm.. that's interesting but I wonder if maybe you didn't change your search in some way (either words or what you selected on the right side?). I am now logged in to Fodors on a computer and account they don't know and did not login under my registered name, and it turned up the same thing under a search as when I did finally then login by my registered name. That just doesn't sound like something that they would have a reason to do.

Really? Can you tell us what you typed in the search form? I'm curious. I wanna try as Bozo, then before I sign in...
