Don't get me wrong, I love Glasgow too & go there frequently for the theatre & art exhibitions - it's just that I do think Edinburgh is a must-see and does have more in the way of obvious tourist attractions for the first time visitor.
Hi Jim. I actually seem to be in Glasgow every weekend these days ! What with the Glasgow Art Fair, Glasgow International & lots of good theatre at the moment. This has just reminded me to try to book for 'A Play, A Pie and A Pint' on Saturday - have you been to any of these ? It sounds good fun. We are going to 'Falling' on Saturday night & plan to see the Beck's Futures exhibition at the CCA.

Hi Caroline - if I'm being honest I am more interested in the pie & the pint that in the play. Oran Mor is a nice venue, however, & my sister has been to several " 'A Play, A Pie and A Pint' events & enjoyed them. I think she may have seen Robbie Coltrane in one (or am I making that up?)
I have a friend at work who attended the Art Fair as her sister (an artist from the South West) was exhibiting there. My friend was disappointed & that was with a free pass!
My tastes are a little bit more prosaic but I am looking forward to seeing Dylan Moran at the Usher Hall in August.
All the best,
Jim
