Hi, the way I read Fodor's annoucement is that (to keep it simple) at one minute past midnight Monday morning they will do maintenance on the sight and it will be down until Monday morning.
However, am I correct that Fodor's uses Eastern time? If so consequently this would mean as of 9:00pm Sunday evening, Pacific Standard Time Fodors will be down. Anyone elses thoughts?

OK, I didn't read the time carefully, and yes, I imagine it's very slow during the wee hours of US Monday mornings. But on the other hand it does mean that it'll be down essentially all Monday morning (after dawn) in Europe, and as someone else pointed out, from 9 pm PST (8 pm in Hawaii, right?). Still, I'm wondering about the cost of hiring technical help for those hours (or are they also in Calcutta?).
And I generally wonder when the forums are most heavily used. It does seem to me that it's harder to get on from Friday morning to Sunday evening than it is during any weekday, which makes sense. And it's always been obvious that the focus of posts on the US board shift across the continent with the sun -- when East Coast people wake up, the US board is full of threads on Hawaii and the Pacific coast. But Sunday morning always seemed a lot more dead than Monday morning.

Hi Cassandra, Hawaii is 2 hours behind Pacific Time.
But oh well, Fodors has to do maintenance. Sort of like when you take your car in to for maintenance, you don't have it for awhile.
Maybe Fodors figured since this is more or less a three day weekend (and weekends are slower than during the week for posing) this is a good time?
