Scavi tour question
So I received tickets for a Scavi tour. From the tour can one go directly into the main part of the Basilica or does one have to go get into the security line?

When we went [admittedly 10 years ago] you could go directly up into the Basilica after the tour, without going through security again.

Hopefully there are others here who have been more recently who can give you more up to date information.

The tour finishes near the tomb of St Peter, so you emerge in the Vatican Grotto and can continue with your visit of the Basilica without going outside.
