My husband and I are planning on staying for two nights in Sarajevo and wonder if anyone has stayed there recently and can recommend a hotel. I understand secured parking is also important. I have read through the few trip reports I could find but there aren't many!

Hotel Central is in a great location -staff excellent , not sure about parking as we trained it!!

Thanks, northie. We made a reservation at the Central and they suggested a nearby place to park. I'm glad you enjoyed the hotel. We are really looking forward to our trip.

absolutely loved Sarajevo and would go back in a heart beat. Tourist place just down from the Central Hotel near the Assassination bridge and they offer great tours -a good one is the tour of the tunnel and other stories of the war -such resilience. Also ask them about the free tour -you give a tip to the guide-its a walking tour.

We stayed at Hotel Michele, we didn't have a car but met others who did. It is not fancy but we liked it. People such as Richard Gere and Michael Moore have stayed there in the past (not together).
