San Gim or Siena for a day trip?

We will be in Florence from may 31 to june 5th, renting an apartment. June 2nd is my parent's anniversary and we were going to go to San Gim or Siena for the day. My in laws are 70 and we have my 23 month old dau. and 8 year old niece. Any opinions on which would be better because I am torn? Thanks.

p.s. Ira I used that number to make reservations for the Uffizi and Accademia.....way too easy. Thank you.

I visited SG and Siena on the same day about two weeks ago. I liked them both but if you were to choose one, I would say Siena.
