San Geminano, Siena, transportation to airport

We are staying in Florence for three days with
a teenager(his first trip to Italy) and then want to go to San G.
and Siena for two days before departing at the Florence
airport at 12 noon. Is there a way to get
to the airport on time from either of these
places?

THANKS.

Hello Lynne,

The airport bus runs from Florence, so if you want to use public transport you'll have to return there.
Siena would be more convenient than San G.

For early morning buses from Siena seeBR>www.sienaweb.it/territorio/trasporti/rapida.htm

Airport buses leave every 30 mins. (on the hour & half hour) from the SITA station near Santa Maria Novella railway station.
www.ataf.net

Hope this helps ...

Steve

Lynne,
we stayed at a lovely place in San Gimignano in March - the website is
www.sangiroom.it

A very friendly family run it, they have 6 new rooms inside a very old building, very central and comfortable with new, very clean bathrooms. We paid about 58 euro. We would stay there again. The family also own a bar (cafe) in the Piazza Duomo where you can have breakfast if you want.
Kay
