S Bahn and U Bahn

Hi. Just a quick question: Is the daily ticket you can buy on the U bahn good for the S-bahn, too - as long as you stay in the city center (bahnhof to center city, then to Sachsenhausen and back)?

I guess Sachsenhausen is a clue - you probably mean Frankfurt?

On the assumption you mean Sachsenhausen concentration camp near Berlin, here's what the Berlin public transport authorities have to say (in English):

U-Bahn and S-Bahn are the same for those purposes and sometimes they even run on the same tracks in the city centers.

S-Bahn is run by the Germany Railways and U-Bahn by local authorities - traditionally - may be changing - i don't know.

but i do know railpasses are valid on S-Bahns and not U-Bahns but the pass you are talking about i think they are the same

And dump was really dumb. What I meant to ask was: Can I buy a one day pass on the Frankfurt U-bahn and use it on the S-bahn as long as I stay in center city Frankfurt, including Sachsenhausen?

You will find a map of the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, and tram lines here:

Everything that is in the white center is okay with your day pass. As you can see, the boundaries go way beyond the areas you need to travel.

That day pass is good on the S-bahns, the U-bahns, the Strassenbahns and the buses inside of Frankfurt. Just keep it with you as you don't need to validate tickets in Frankfurt.

Here is Frankfurt public transportation website. It switches into English.
