Have you heard of BAD SAAROW near Berlin?
I've located a spa town near Berlin but I can't seem to find anyone who has ever been there or heard of it. I wanted to know how far it is from Berlin and how to get there. Is it worth the trip.

http://www.bad-saarow.de/ortsinfo/anreise.html shows a map.
From Berlin you take the train to Frankfurt and der Oder (not the other Frankfurt, the one on the Main river!), but you get off in Fürstenwalde and, on the same platform, you switch to the regional train RB35.
Trains are at www.bahn.de

one or two trains an hour take 54-59 minutes, leaving from Berlin's Ostbahnhof, in the eastern part of Berlin - take the S-Bahn there from West Berlin. Like Wally told you this info is available at www.bahn.de - if you have trouble navigating the site and getting to the English schedule page where you put in Berlin and Bad Sarrow and the date to get all the train connections, go to www.budgeteuropetravel.com an on their home page click on the link "All european railway schedules" and this links you automatically to the bahn.de's English schedule page. The home page i reference also gives several tips for using the Wunderbar German rail site, www.bahn.de. If you want to leave from West Berlin put in Berlin-Zoo station for example or Berlin-Savigny Platz, etc. to get the connections by S-Bahn to Ostbahnhof.

been there.
It's approx. an hour by car from Berlin. Stayed at what is now the Arosa Resort. Used to be a Kempinski. Rooms nice, but not large. Particularly bathrooms are not up to 5star standard IMHO.
Nice spa facilities. Good golf courses (Nick Faldo course deservedly ranks among the toughest in Germany) and beautiful surroundings. If you'd like some R&R why not go for it?
