In Florence take the bus up to the next city in the hills above and run back down into Florence, do it very early morning and see the sun come up over the city. It's been awhile but someone else can assist with the specifics of bus #, etc. am sure.

ciao vaishali

in florence you could run from ponte vecchio on the right side of the river (in flowing direction) all along till you come after ca. 10 minutes to the park "cascine" the green lung for firenze. o.k. it's everything flat but you can run a long distance in the park and will find italians jogging there as well.

enjoy!

christina

In Venice I took an Early EARLY morning run, from where St. Marks Square meets the see, and (I am terrible with directions..) while looking at the water from St. Marks, I ran Left towards the suburbs of town and a nice little park.. the sun was just rising and there were several other joggers out there, but you must go early in the day, before the crowds! Have a great trip.
