rome's leonardo airport to tuscolana station:metro or train?

My spouse and I are flying into Rome's Leonardo Airport. What is the best way to get to our hotel, which is near the Tuscolana Station. Some say take the Leonardo Express to the Termini Station and then transfer to another train( or bus) to the Tuscolana Station, and another mentioned to take a train/subway(?) directly from the airport to the Tuscolana station. I am awfully confused. Can someone tell me the best way of getting to my hotel via public transportation?

Thanks, Gordon2

Instead of the Leonardo Express from the airport you want to take the local train FR1 (also sometimes called FM1). Just get off at the Tuscolana stop. 8€

Should have mentioned this train departs from the airport every 15 minutes and is the train to Rome's other main station, Tiburtina. Travel time is about 40 minutes. Here's the list of stops.

Fiumicino Aeroporto
Parco Leonardo
Fiera Di Roma
Ponte Galeria
Muratella
Magliana
Villa Bonelli
Roma Trastevere
Roma Ostiense
Roma Tuscolana
Roma Tiburtina

This train will only stop for a minute or two so you must be ready to get off when you get to your stop.

Do you have a link for your hotel?

Kybourbon,

Thank you very much for your replies. Can you suggest a good public transportation route from Civitavecchia train station to the Roma Tuscolana station?

Thank you again,
