We had two gorgeous connecting rooms at the St. Regis Grand when we were in Rome with our two little girls last time. If two rooms at a four or five star hotel is beyond your budget, you could consider a quad room at the Del Senato, Santa Chiara (also has a mini apartment) Cesari or Mozart. We leave tomorrow for nine days in Rome with our girls and are staying at the Del Senato.

We stayed in the Santa CHiara family room, it's actually a 2 room suite with 1 bathroom, 1 room had a queen bed, the other had 2 twins. There also is an apt. type arrangement there, which Grinisa mentioned. That also has a kitchette. I beleive it's fairly roomy. When we were there a family of 5 stayed in the apt.

There's also the Diamante Suite at the Hotel Pantheon. It has one queen bed, two twins in an upstairs loft, and two bathrooms. We'll be staying there in July, and I think the hotel is basically in the same neighborhood as the Del Senato.

Thank you all. We have booked the Santa Chiara based on the recommendations on the site - we will report back in.

Ruxton,

There is a very nice hotel, although not as central as the Intercontinental De La Ville or the Santa Chiara. It's the Aldrovandi Palace. I've been in Rome with my granchildren in late July, and as I had anticipated, it was awfully hot. The Aldrovandi is in Parioli, a residential distric not far from Piazza di Spagna. The hotel has a lovely pool, and a complimentary shuttle to Via Veneto running all day long, back and forth. I can't think of bringing the kids to such a hot place as Rome is during summer, without offering them a way of refreshing and cooling dow, as a pool.

The Aldrovandi has Summer rates but you'll find better, all inclusive rates on SRS World Hotels website (Dollars&Sense and Weekend rates) that are more convenient.

We were able to book connecting rooms at the Aldrovandi.

Regards, and enjoy Italy with your family.
