I found this website, but it seems to conflict with some of the posts here:
http://www.twenj.com/romehours.htm
Notice that the Colosseum is closed on Sundays, the Pantheon closes at 1:00 and the Forum is closed on Sundays completely.

Since Ed died I don't think his website at twenj.com has been updated.
According to this link, the Colosseum and Forum/Palatino are open daily from now until 31st Aug from:
09.00 - 19.30
- with last admission one hour before,
i.e. ticket office closes 18.30
Adm: € 8.00 (Colosseum + Palatino)

I believe the Pantheon is open daily incl. Sundays till early evening.
Hope this helps ...
Steve

As I have been to both the Colosseum and the Forum on a Sunday, I can attest that they are both definately open (as is the Palatine Hill). Another highlight about Sundays is that the street between Piazza Venezia and the Colossuem (Via dei Fori Imperiali) is closed to motor traffic and is a great stroll in itself.
