Is it worth the price ( 96 euros per person) ? we could go all the same place the tour go (easily found on internet) and pay much less to eat

I did that food tour last year, and yes, I thought it was worth it.

I've become a fan of food tours in general, and find them a great way to get a feel for a city on the first day. The tour guides give you lots of info about food and history, and at some stops you get a behind the scenes tour and chat with the proprietor.

I plan on taking the same food tour. I've also become a huge fan of them, having taken them in Istanbul, Madrid, and Seville. Definitely take it at the beginning of your trip, if you decide to splurge for the food tour. I like not only learning about places to eat, but eating customs, and a bit of cultural and historical stuff. Plus I'm directionally challenged, so it gives me a grounding in what's where in an unfamiliar city as well.

PegS,
I'll be in Seville next March. Which tour did you take there?

We enjoyed our Eating Italy tour of Testaccio FWIW.

@elberko, I did a Devour Seville Tapas, Taverns and History tour last year and loved it.

Elberko, like Indy I also did a tour through Devour Seville, but I opted for the Tastes, Tapas & Traditions tour.

Looks like Devour Seville is the company to use! Thanks!

We are thinking of taking that Trastevere food tour in the fall, so good to note. Food tours have become quite the thing, and we certainly enjoyed the ones we took in Paris and Lisbon. We even have someone doing them in Sacramento.

I've not taken this tour, but the price sounds very high to me, given that you will be with 6-10 other people and spending about 200 euro for two. For about that price, two people could probably hire a private guide, and for much less than that, you can go on your own but without the included tastings and maybe without the interaction with the purveyors.

Wow; the price of these tours have gone up a bit since we took ours in 2015. That’s steep. You can sometimes find discount codes. For instance, check out the following:
