Rome-Shuttle-Limousine

Any recent experiences with them. They and airport connection seem to have the cheapest transfer rates, 44 and 35 euros respectively for 4 pax, compared to 55 and 59 with other site. Thanks.

Have you thought of taking the train in? It's quick, easy and cheap.

I would definitely recommend limoservice rome. We just returned from our first Rome trip and after a long flight, it was so nice not to have to hassle with trains, cabs, hustlers. I was concerned because they asked for a credit card number via email prior to the trip, but I just told them I wasn't comfortable with that and they said to forget it. They were still there, punctual, pleasant and cost $45 Euros for 2.

another vote for limoservicerome.com. They were great. The credit card was only if we didn't show up. I figured I could fight it if they actually charged something to it.

limoservicerome.com has my vote too. We were arriving mid June 2003 and Andrea emailed us before we left to warn us about the heat wave that had started.

Be sure to stop at an ATM in the airport so you will have Euro to pay whichever company you select.

Dock, is the title the name of this company or are you referring to limoservicerome? We used limoservicerome last summer and it was superb. I remember a thread where someone took another service with a similar sounding name and the reporting person had an awful experience.

The company name is Romeshuttlelimousine and their rates are 35 euros FCO to hotel and 110 euros Port to hotel, a considerable savings for a total of 3 transfers compared to limoservicerome. Andrea has quoted 55 euros for FCO to hotel and 140 euros for Port to hotel. I am off course inclined to book the cheaper rates. As to train from the port, rshersnow, with 2 kids and who knows how much luggage I do not want to schlep stuff around after a great cruise, but considering these rates Imay have no choice.Faye.

to rshersnow: When you have 4 people sometimes taking the limo is cheaper. The train is about 9 or 10 Euro which means it's 30% more. For 4 people that works out to a similar amount and you don't have to get from the station to the hotel. For 2 people it could be worth it.
