La Buca di Ripetta, haven't been there for a couple of years, but had the best Amatriciana that I still dream about. Recommended by Thin back then.

I checked out La Buca di Ripetta. It looks interesting to me and if Natylou is still dreaming about a dish, I am going to make that my third choice over La Campana.
I'm not going till May but I booked table at Antico Arco today and will attend to the others shortly.
Thanks for the wonderful help. We will also be going to Sorrento, Capri and Positano.

We love Ristorante Fiametta....the food AND the atmosphere. The first time we ate there I looked around and the tables were filled with cardinals, bishops and other Vatican hierarchy. I knew we'd stumbled on a good thing! That was over 15 years ago and I've been back many times, lunch and dinner. It's near Piazza Navona. Find Hotel Genio on the map....Fiametta is just around the corner on the right.

Our Rome restaurant experience

We just completed our time in Rome. We went to la campania the first night—-it was traditional Italian food, friendly atmosphere and good. The next night we went to Antico Arco. The sea bass was amazing and we enjoyed the dinner. The third night was Retrobottega. We loved it—each course was delicious, different and the experience was fun
Thanks again for the help in choosing

Hi, drkathej,
Is the post from May 30 intended to be crossed or is it accurate? I was wondering if there is a problem with the post? We will be in Rome in October so I'm interested in your experiences, and don't quite know what to make of the post.

Thanks!

It is odd that the post is crossed. I did not intend to have that.

Thanks, drkathej, for clarifying. It is odd!

Any recommendations in Capri or Sorrento? We will be there as well.

Thanks!

In Sorrento we went to l”antica trattoria. It was great. Set inside a garden. We have a lot of fish in this region and ordered the whole fish—usually snapper, sea bream or sea bass.
We also went to il buco, also good and a bit upscale.
In Capri we loved da gelsomina. It’s in Ana Capri. They pick u up at the bus station if u want. It was out of town and had a fabulous sunset. We also went to terrazza brunello it was good and had a fabulous view from the window
We stayed at the Capri wine hotel. and loved it. The owners are so nice. Breakfast was wonderful with great view and close enough to town.

We were in this restaurant. Very colorful atmospheric place. To get there is difficult because of the large flow of visitors. The cuisine is delicious, the staff is nice. We like this restaurant.
