Tuscan, it has changed hands, and is now closed, I believe on Tuesdays. They've re-done some minor parts of the decor, and changed a few items on the menu, but on my last trip in June, I found it to be as great as it was when I discovered it for the first time in January of '02.

SeaUrchin, my sole sojourn to Sabatini was in early October of 2004. The owner's son-in-law (a dead ringer for Giancarlo Giannini, IMO) waited on us hand and foot, and we had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. How terribly disappointing if they've taken a downhill slide since!

I am pretty sure I was there before you were so hopefully they are back on track. We were so disappointed with the food (like more than a day old) and the service (he practically tossed the plates at us and walked away for an hour or so).
It had been one of my favorite restaurants since the 80's. I'll try it again.
