If you mean the DelaVille Continental, we stayed there last summer. I would not stay there again. I would be happy to email you my notes.

If you mean Hotel Intercontinental at top of Spanish Steps - we stayed there two years ago. It was a huge, wonderful hotel with great breakfast- large rooms and fantastic bathrooms. After a day of walking up and down Spanish Steps to get to hotel - we discovered elevator at bottom of step that you could take to top. Made it much easier.

There is an elevator under the Spanish Steps that takes you up to the top. it is not an escalator . If you are facing the Spanish Steps - it is to your left. Just walk around the steps and under and there it is. made it much easier. It was never crowded, either.

The De La Ville Intercontinental is a fine hotel. Stayed there last November. The location at the top of the Spanish Steps next to the Hassler is terrific and the hotel service is great. The rooms are not big but have good sized bathrooms and are tastefully decorated. There is some construction going on, so you might want to ask the hotel about its status. The staff is very helpful. Note that the continental breakfast provided free is very basic. If you want cold-cuts and such, you will be charged extra. There are many good restaurants nearby but the hotel's restaurant is also good.
