Also, there was a scent diffuser in the room, which did nothing to cover the smell. When we first mentioned it, we were told that the room was just painted. Then Elena said she had a spray that would help. My sister's eyes were literally burning at this point from the mold and we knew we had to leave.

I have absolutely no idea who Good Will is, but I have been posting here for 15 years and know that LouisaH
is a long-time and frequent poster.
I don't know why she would just make up some story about an insignificant flophouse in Rome.
The way some here carry on you would think she was maligning the de Russie.

I don't know anything about Torre Relais Argentina! My original post was actually about Relais Teatro Argentina. I've ruled out the Modigliani and the Albergo Cesari. Still considering the Relais Teatro Argentina , the Relais Palazzo Taverna and a sweet apartment near Ria Giulia near the piazza Farnese I found on VRBO.

sandralist, I have no idea what your point is but if you are suggesting that my comments are unfounded perhaps you should check out the hotel and form your own opinion.
Thin, you are exactly right and as always, your comments are spot on.
efarr, good luck with your search.

LouisH,
I said precisely the opposite in my post. I wrote in plain English that I was not suggesting you were wrong to leave the hotel and choose another. My point was clear: I was providing the perspective and context of not just Good Will but dozens and dozens of reviewers on booking.com. You shouldn't have a problem with that -- and obviously you didn't when you first read my post. Why you came back to attack me later when I hadn't added anything to my original post is puzzling.
I think Thin, another longtime poster on Fodor's, posts little that is useful, ever.
The real issue is that this thread was about another hotel anyway, apparently yet another thing LouiseH didn't see. Maybe new glasses?...

sandralist, I thought it was very odd to go on and on about the many positive reviews, something I acknowledged in my first post when I noted how perplexing the discrepancy was. I also noted that I wasn't sure if this was the same hotel the OP was referring to. My experience was obviously on my mind since it just happened on Sunday night.
Perhaps you're the one who should have your eyes checked since you misspelled my name twice in one post, a real pet peeve of mine.
