Does anyone have a medium priced hotel near the Spanish Steps in Rome that they love?? A great breakfast is a plus! Any recommendations are very much appreciated!

You might try the Scalinata di Spagna https://www.hotelscalinata.com/en-gb/rooms. Rooms are about €300--400 in May. It's an expensive neighborhood.

Look up QT Suites Roma (on booking or something). It's on a hilly street behind the Spanish steps. Great restaurants nearby and we were in a quiet room. You let them know if you want breakfast and at what time. There are 3 entry points: A large door on the main road with keyless entry (I think) then you get another key inside for the tiny elevator, then another entry point into the "suites" - they meet you on the first day to check you in and there are maybe 3-4 rooms down a hallway. I would stay there again, great location.
