Rome Hotel Reservations

In looking at room rates, I see rooms listed as singles and doubles. You can choose a number after each choice. I assumed that for my husband and I would request a double (meaning 2 people), but now I am confused because the singles have a number choice as well. What does the term "single" and "double" refer to? Type of bed, # of people? Thank you !

The number after single probably is referred to "how many rooms" you mean to book, rather than the occupancy of the room.

Sally -

Perhaps if you tell us what website you are using, we can tell you more definitively. Depending on how it is set up, it could be looking for a number of rooms (i.e, ONE double room), or number of occupants (i.e., a double room, for ONE person - often slightly cheapre than the standard 2-person rate). Generally, the website is seeking the former, and you have to explain the latter in a text box.
