Rome hotel question

Have booked a week at Hotel Patria in Rome for April.
I did a board search for reviews but the most current was 2002.
We were looking mostly for an affordable hotel within walking distance to the main attractions and Patria seemed to be the best.
Also, we are travelling with our 14 yr old daughter, her first trip to Eourpe, so we wanted to choose a hotel in the middle of it all.
Anyway, the reviews seem to be ok but not too current.
Anyone have a newer review?
TIA!

Hi.
Well we've already booked the hotel and air, so I was only looking for some current reviews.
This is a new travel adventure for us because although my husband and I are frequent travellers to Eourpe, and don't mind walking miles to and from sites, etc., we have our daughter with us for the first time on this kind of a trip. (She's used to a week on a beach for spring break).

We went to Rome in 2000 with our 20 yr. old daughter and got a triple at the Hotel Primavera for 135 dollars a nt. It was perfect. Rec. by Great Sleeps in Italy, Sandra Gustafson. Large room, great bathroom, marble floors, wonderful hosts, best location 1 block off Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori. Highly recommend. Not fancy, but clean, simple touch of old world comfort. Was a real bargain. No website then, but calling was easy and they do speak English.
