Rome hotel for parents & teens

We are planning a trip to Rome for Thanksgiving. Can anyone suggest a hotel or apartment that will be comfy for 4 of us? The kids are a boy & girl, so a room with a double bed and 2 twins would be great. We don't mind spending a little more for a nicer accomodation since we'll only be there 4 or 5 nights.
Thanks!

I realize this doesn't exactly answer your question as you are looking for one large room or apt., but when in Rome, we decided to get two rooms (one for us, and one for our 2 teens) at the Hotel Lancelot. Getting 2 rooms was a really good idea for us at that point because we'd done fine in one large room in Venice and Florence hotels, but by that point, everyone was ready for a little space. Hotel Lancelot is in a nice neighborhood near the Colosseum with a really good spread for breakfast. Room prices are reasonable.

We stayed at the Albergo Cesari with our two kids (age 9 and 12). It had two seperate twins and then a king (two twins put together) for us. It was a nice big room with a nice size bathroom. It was near the Pantheon. It was an excellent, excellent location!!

The Hotel San Carlo. They can offer you a quad room or two doubles. Also in an excellent location, and at a good price.

As an alternative and to give you a bit more space - have you thought about renting an apartment?

We will also be travelling with 2 teens and found it to be much more economical.

I'd recommend apartment rental too. Less expensive, more comfortable for all, common living space, and a kitchen for some meals and snacks.

If you consider an apt. i would reccomend the Palazzo Olivia Apartments which is very close to the Piazza Navonna area.
Although i do not know if the second bedroom has 2 twins, i do know that most of their couches in the living room make for a bed as well.

Santa CHiara has a quad suite (2 rooms, 1 with a double and the other w/ 2 twins). They also have a larger apartment type accomodation. This is a very nice hotel, the location (behind the pantheon) can't be beat and the breakfast there is great.

We rented a 2 bedroom in Rome that had a queen bed and two twins in teh Campo de Fiori neighborhood. You can see my review on here (click on my name and look for "Rome trip report (with teens)&quot or I left a review on slowtrav.com at:

We stayed at Canali ai Coronari with our two teens in March of this year. The location is wonderful, just 2 minutes from Piazza Navona on a mostly quiet street of antique shops. We had two rooms that connected at the top of the stairs a floor up from the reception area (I think this is the 3rd floor.) We had a double bed, and the kids had twins and we each had our own bathroom. The cost in March was approximately $250 euros a night for both rooms. We were very pleased with our stay there.

I'll second jjg's recommendation for the Albergo Cesari. We were there for Thanksgiving 2003. The hotel is in a great location on a quiet (non-traffic) street, and the quad room (#17 I think) worked fine for our family, including 2 teenage girls (they were 13 and 16 at that time).

The room was not fancy, but it was large and comfortable. A simple breakfast is included.
