Rome Florence Venice

The final destinations are decided upon with these hotel accomadations:
Rome Hotel Aberdeen ( I cancelled the Hotel Jolly L.Davinci) Florence Hotel Belletini and Venice La Calcina.

I know October is so far away but I am just so excited and worried that if we wait, we will not be able to find a hotel at a reasonable rate.

Now, wondering what to do about airfare. Should I book now or would I get a better rate waiting a couple of months?

Hi robbie,

You can't go wrong booking well in advance.

As far as air fares go, the answer is "maybe".

I am going to the same 3 places and still in the planning stage. Why/How did you finally decide on these 3 hotels? Are you reserving rooms with the hotel 'directly' or going thru Expedia or another agency? I am overwhelmed! How long are you staying at each location? I am going in April.

For what it's worth I am going in September and I just booked my flight last night cause I found a price that was somewhat reasonable (not over 1200/pp). I got it for 712 all taxes and surcharges incl. Open Jaw - fly into Venice and out of Naples.

I went to www.airtravelcenter.com/onetrav.htm THANKS to IRA for that website.

What I did was look on the board for budget or inexpensive hotels. I then went on Venere.com to take a look at the hotels. Ultimately though, I emailed each one individually and now have the reservations working very easily with each one. I also utilized Tripadvisor.com to look up the reviews on the hotels. I am pleased with my selections. They fit our budget.
