Rome Apartments?

My wife and I are traveling to Rome in October with our 2 year old son and are looking for a family friendly apartment - preferably in the Trastevere neigborhood. Anyone have specific suggestions for apartments? I know that there are a number of good rental agencies but was hoping for some first-hand reviews. thanks,

Mac

In Trastevere we stayed very near Piazza San Callisto where in the mornings there is again a market and when we were there last October, the piazza was flooded with families and children (small playground) in the afternoons and evenings. For a few days there was an (annual?) festival that highlighted the artistic and performance efforts of a local school for young people with disabilities which was a very family friendly affair with a great neighbourhood feeling.
We stayed in an apartment that should work for you called the Jewel of Trastevere. You can find a review for it and others on SlowTrav.com http://www.slowtrav.com/italy/vr/review.asp?n=2450

Correction:
I meant Piazza San Cosimato. I wouldn't call P.S. Callisto 'family friendly'.

We stayed just over the bridge from Trastevere and near Campo dei Fiori at http://www.sleepinitaly.com/files/ap...dipiet%E0.html

We loved it. It has a large master bedroom, a complete kitchen, 2 fold out couches and a nice modern bath. Great location, highly recommend it.

Thanks for the responses. Both apartments sound like good options.

Hello. We (a group of 6) just came back from Rome and just want to share our great experience with the place below. Very clean and spacious as well as a host that speaks English. Highly recommend. Since we had such a pleasant experience with this rental agency, certainly look at it for a smaller group than our 6. Good luck!
