Rome Apartment help
I found an apartment that I like . It is at 25 Via dei Coronari near Pizza Navona. It appears to be a decent location and not too noisy. The problem is I cant find any reviews of it or the broker involved...and there is no bathroom photo. I am worried it may not be well kept....it has so much character...not sure what to do....any help appreciated regarding the location and apt. Thanks, Loretta

The area is great. I do not know anything about the agency. You should check it there is an elevator, if that is important to you, European 2nd floors are our 3 rd floors. With luggage that could be a hassle. I can say do not use rentalinrome by any means. I have had bad experiences with them.

Why not ask questions on slowtalk.com. Via dei Coronari is an excellent area full of antiques shops, near Piazza Navona, other places to look: the websites of wantedinrome, (local expats), elegantetruria, my website and italiannotebook.com. Good luck, Rome is wonderful in every season.

Also on slowtrav.com are lots and lots of apartment reviews. You can check it by name or by agency.
Maybe you would like the one we stayed in in May. http://www.sleepinitaly.com/files/apt_giulia-gold.html
It's actually not that close to the Campo, but about 1/2 mile away. It's on Via Giulia about halfway between the Campo and Castel Sant'Angelo. It
s on the ground floor, and there is a doorman who can help you although he speaks very little english. He was very helpful to us when our cell phone died and we needed to call our airline.

Location is excellent, price is great. 2-3 people maximum. Has a lift. 2 bathrooms. REALLY small sitting room.
You can find my review on it on SlowTrav

Well, the agent seemed to have never seen the apt as I couldn't get any reasonable idea of the condition of it..
so I am about to book another in Campo Dei Fiori instead. Its a bit cluttered with art but it's on a nice street(Via Giulia, 16) and the apt manager has been great to deal with. It is listed on VRBO and there are some reviews at least in the comments section. Its on the 1st floor.

I am waiting until tomorrow in case anyone here has stayed there or sees something that I missed.
Thank you all!! Loretta

From the pictures, it appears that the "upstairs bedroom" is really just a lofted space above the main living area. I think (?) in one of the pictures I can see a narrow metal spiral staircase leading up to the area.
If you're tall, you might whack your head in the bedroom area, and I would hate stumbling down from the loft to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
So, although it calls itself a one bedroom apartment, to me it appears more like a studio with a sleeping loft.
