This also depends on what you term romantic.<BR>Rules for old-fashioned coziness and classic elegance at the same time.<BR>The Criterion for formal and glittering elegance.<BR>Maggie Jones for old-fashioned charm eating by candlelight on pine tables surrounded by dried flowers and antiques.<BR>Mimi's suggestions are great too. Many might add Le Caprice's sister restaurant, The Ivy, but I consider it more of a zoo, than a romantic spot.<BR>

Thanks to all for your helpful suggestions... i will look into each of them and pick one. <BR><BR>Kavey, although I cannot say "money is no object" i would be willing to splurge on something in the neighborhood of a few hundred dollars (including a bottle of wine)<BR><BR>thanks again.<BR><BR>
