London restaurant

We'll be in London for 4 days in November. We'd like suggestions for restaurants. Is the Ivy as wonderful as its reputation? What about Nobu and Momo? Thanks everyone!

You'd be unlikely to get a table this close to your visit - but worth trying. The Ivy is great fun - also try Le Caprice and J.Sheeky for star spotting. Nobu and Momo are fine but terrifyingly expensive.

Try www.toptable.co.uk , they can often get you last minute bookings at popular restaurants. Ivy is great, also Cinnamon Club. We have Jamie Oilver at Montes on our list for next month..lunches only , dinner is for club members.

do not go to Simpson's . The quality and service are abyssmal . Try Rule's if you want old-time. <BR>This is the opinion of several people in addition to myself, some of whom were regulars.

Gordon Ramsay's only books one month ahead, so you might have a chance of getting in either there or at his other place (in Claridges, I think - I might be wrong.)
