Romantic restaurant in London -- Clos Maggiore. Anyone ever been there?

I've just booked the last table in this place for our anniversary which also happens to be (O the dagger in my heart!) the night before we leave London. Has anyone ever been there? I searched 'romantic restaurants in London' and this was the third one on the list (I didn't like the first two). I've never used a Zagat's before but I checked in there and it does get a very high rating. It looks quite beautiful.

Just wondering if anyone had a personal opinion. Here's the website:

Time Out gives it a high rating also. I have it on my list for our trip during Christmas. Congrats on your anniversary and I hope you have a lovely dinner. Deborah

Oh, I'm so glad to hear nobody has a bad report. There are some poor reviews on TA but mostly great ones. I'm really looking forward to it.

I wouldn't worry. Clos Maggiore's TA ranking is 24 out of 7,826 London restaurants. The 7 bad reviews out of 117 are pretty much statistically insignificant . . . (especially when there are 75 top rated reviews)

And one of the bad reviews is just reporting a booking mix up.

not been there but sounds wonderful, might have to try their weekend menu.

Just read the cheese menu. I adore cheese but the descriptions are enough to put me off blue cheese for life, lol. 'with a mouldy aftertaste'...'wrinkled grey/white moulds between bloomy crust'...'sprinkled with ash'...mmmmmmmm. sounds yummy, not.

Ugh. Cheese never sounds yummy to me. I can't even stand the smell in a cheese store. I'll eat mild brie, harvarti, swiss, and that's about it. Oh yes, and mozzarella if it's on pizza.

Anything with blue mould in it or that moves on its own - ugh.
