Romantic hotel in Dublin
I did a search of romantic hotels in Dublin and found references to some outside the City Centre. Are there any recommendations for romantic hotels in the City Centre? I have been to Dublin before but this time it will be as part of our honeymoon so looking for some new suggestions. Thank you in advance.

The Merrion is a peaceful, historic Georgian hotel right in Dublin with gorgeous architecture. It is located in the center of Dublin and close to everything special in the city. It has a center courtyard that has the most beautiful gardens and landscaping - ask for a room overlooking these gardens for privacy and quiet. The staff is really wonderful about recommendations for shopping, restaurants and pub crawls. The Merrion has a 5-star Michelin restaurant, Patrick Gilbaud. Be sure to tell them you are celebrating your honeymoon.
Best Regards,
Julia

Hi coldwar
The Shelbourne Hotel is soon to re-open having been closed for over a year, it will be really special, and I would recommend staying there, its right on St Stephens green, a lovely part of Dublin City Centre.

I found Clontarf Castle a bit romantic -- having integrated parts of the old castle into a newer hotel. However, it was a bus ride from city center. Another however, it was a lovely room for the same price that we paid for a so so b&b right on St. Stephen's Green!
