Romanian Castle Hotels

Does anyone know of any castle-hotels in Romania? I will be visiting next year and would love to stay at a castle for a night or two!

Thanks!

Hi,Darnel,

Check out Castle Kalnoky (www.transylvaniancastle.com) in Transylvania. Have not stayed there, but found it in other research I was doing last year.

Have a great trip.

Thank you for that website. It sounds like an excellent and quaint village to visit.

Tell me...did you stay here? If so, please tell me how your stay was.

Hi, Darnel,

I have not been there -- or even to Eastern Europe. Was just doing some research on castle hotels generally.

Definitely check the "Press, References, and Awards" section of the hotel's web site for more info, if you have not done so already.

Sorry I cannot be of more help.

I am looking for interesting places to stay in Romania, mainly Transylvania and Maramures areas. Most of the websites show communist-era large concrete block hotels. Has anyone stayed at Castle Kalnoky?
