Roaming charges in Spain

Roaming charges in Spain
travelling to Spain, need help with cell phone roaming. We are staying in Benalmadena for 2 months need cell service, what is advise on SIM card, for travelling there need contact from home which is in Canada. I have unlocked phone from Koodo, not sure what is best? Pay for SIM card there or pay roaming charges from Canada which is $10/day, max charge $100/month.

(Also a Canadian and the last couple of trips I have paid the $10/day for 4 weeks - the $100 CDN was less hassle and I got to keep my Canadian number - anything over 4 weeks and I get a local SIM)
