Road fees?
I'm about to book a rental car for 5 days in Scotland through Auto Europe. I see that the fine print states that road fees are paid locally and not included. How much should I expect to pay?

There aren't any road tolls in Scotland, don't worry. Even the Skye bridge is free these days.
This is just part of their terms and conditions for the whole of Europe and in some other countries tolls are common.

The road fee quoted by AutoEurope is not the same as toll roads. It is a tax or fee levied on rental cars per diem.
For my rental in Italy the fee comes to about $3/day tacked onto the rental. AutoEurope does not collect this, so I'll need to pay it at the Avis counter upon pickup.
