Resturant(s) in Eiffel Tower, yes or no?

Will be in Paris in October and wondering if it's worth making a reservation for Altitude 95? How expensive? Thinking of a 7 pm reservation and will make by phone. Jules Verne is the most expensive? Thanks for any help. Marie

Search "altitude AND Eiffel" and you will find a multitude of opinions here - - mostly all favorable. I have only been to the Jules Verne (the higher of the two, and yes, high priced) - - and that was 10 years ago.

Best wishes,

Rex
My daughter and I had lunch at the restaurant in May. it was over $100.00 with no wine. I made reservations before I left the states via the internet. It was worth the price for the experience and the service was very good. I am sure dinner would be more expensive.

Altitude 95 is very nice and a better deal than Jules Verne. Make reservation as far in advance as possible; ask for window table. It's pricey but not too expensive. Afterall, dining in the Eiffel Tower and looking out at Paris is worth some premium.

I had lunch at "Altitude 95"last April. The food was good, the service normal but the view was great. I think that only one time a person must try this restaurant. Jules Verne doesn't make fair with his prices.

Earlier this month we went up with the kids (8 & 6) to the second level. Then back down to the first level where we ordered from the counter: baguettes with ham, crêpes with Nutella, cold beer and lemonades. Same view, same sunset, we sat outside and all loved it. About $ 30 for the four of us.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I emailed Altitude 95 for a reservation and they kindly emailed back that they only accepted telephone reservations. So, I called today for 19 October and had no problem making a reservation. They couldn't promise a window but put in my request. Just have to confirm 2-5 days before arriving. Au revoir, Marie

Marie,

You'll love it! The view is terrific and IMO, the food is too. The last time we went without a reservation and because we were there when they just opened for dinner, we got right in with no problem.

I had a veal cassolet and it was melt in your mouth. About $25 for the entree about 3 years ago.

Enjoy!

If I call them, do they speak English or do I have to have an interpreter to telephone them to make a reservation?

I called Jules Verne last week for a lunch reservation. They spoke English.
