Resto in London

Hi!

What would be a nice restaurant in London where I can take a friend too with out being too expensive? Any tipe of food is ok and I would preffer it to be close to a turistic area.

Cheers,

Sarah

London has many thousands of restaurants.

For a useful answer you need to give a budget, type of food - and some clue as to area (sights are spread out all over the city).

Gordon_R: that is just being cruel!

Sarah2010: Your question is 100% unanswerable w/o at least SOME info. There are thousands and thousands of places to eat in London. The entire city has tourist sites so thousands of places are in 'turistic' areas.

What do your consider not "too expensive"?

Where will you be staying?

Do you want lunch or dinner?

Romantic surroundings -- or just a friend?

Give us something to work w/ here . . .

There are no restaurants in tourist areas of London. For some unknown reason, the Brits wanted to get rid of all the dang tourists that crowd their capital every year and decided to hide their restaurants away from non-Londoners. They may have undertaken that course of action after being asked if there are any not-too-expensive nice restaurants in tourist areas of London.

Just in case you guys are interested found an amazing Italian restaurant in front of Priscilla's theatre. Don't know the name but is unmissable, just go to the theatre and look for the terrace in front of it. Amazing Carbonara!

"Priscilla's Theatre" is the Palace at Shaftesbury Avenue & Charing Cross Rd. That is probably Cafe Pasta which part of a chain w/ several locations and one is right across from the theatre.
