Resto/brasserie in Paris

I will be in Paris with 7 familly members for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. I am looking for a medium priced eatery for a special evening. I'm hoping the resto could organize the menu in advance and accomodate our special request...my mom has celiac so she must not consume anything wheat based (flour etc...).
Appreciate any recommmendations.

Hi T,

If you are not fluent in French, you might want your hotel concierge to help you on this.

We went to Paris with our adult kids and celebrated DH's birthday at our favorite restaurant--La Florimond. It is a small restaurant with wonderful food on av. Lamotte Picquet very near Ecole Militaire metro. I am sure you could communicate that need to them.

Another recommendation for Au Petit Marguery (which is in the 13th). It's an old-fashioned family bistro; every time we've been there we've seen family groups celebrating one thing or another, all having a wonderful time. This is our favorite Paris restaurant, BTW.

You might try Chez Fernand on rue Christine. The front part is a few tables, then a few steps down is a larger room but off to the back is a seperate alcove. We've seen several parties there enjoying a bit of exclusive space . The food is excellent and moderately priced. They might be able to do a set dinner for you. You can check then out on reserve the best. That site no longer works but it will redirect you to the new site..bestrestaurants or something .

Some of you might be interested in looking for the DVD of the film "Au Petit Marguery" (1995 - Stéphane Audran and Michel Aumont run the restaurant in the film).
