This post is from last year but there are many wonderful restaurant recs so I am saving it for my trip to Paris this summer! We are staying at the Relais Bosquet in the 7th. I was wondering if anyone knew if any of the places mentioned were particularly family friendly?

Thank you Ronda. We are traveling with a large group and there are four children ages 6 to 15 with us. I am a little concerned about dinners. We want to enjoy the food but we also want to feel comfortable with the kids and find something on the menu that they could enjoy.

Just nine more sleeps and we are off to Paris, very excited. I have made a list from these suggestions, great list. We are in 1st for three days, then off to Provence, and back to 6th for two days. I have two reservations, L'Ami Jean and Wilie's Bar for first three days. On the evening we do not have a restaurant reservation we are doing the Segway Night Tour, we are to be at Eiffel Tower at 6:00 on that Friday evening so suggestions for nice late lunch in 1st Arr I would appreciate. The time may be a problem, are most of these places open for lunch. An option could be walking to another area and catching taxi to Eiffel for the tour. Thanks

One of my favorite restaurants in the 7th is Cafe Roussillon, on the corner of Rue Cler and Rue de Grenelle. Whenever I am in Paris, I go there for the best, inexpensive steak in Paris: $38 Euros for a 1 kilo Entrecote. Absolutely fabulous!!
Additionally, they have great wines especially some from the SW of France for about 10 Euros a bottle.

We got back Monday from our week in the 7th.... First of all - MERCI to the many folks who provide so much helpful info in this forum...
We had wonderful meals at
** Auberge Bressane - Tagliatelle with Morell sauce, Dover Sole and Chocolate Souffle and a bottle of Pouilly Fuisse...
** Le Florimond - Lobster ravioli, Duck Confit, Tartlette Cerises... nice bottle of St Joseph (Syrah)... The nicest people we ran in to in Paris - Laurent and Maggalie (sp?)
** Micouleau - Lovely place at the back of a shop selling "produits du sud-ouest" 86 rue St Dominique ...Had Duck ala Orange and a bottle of Rose from the south...
** Le Bistrot du 7eme - Scallop terrine, Confit (yes, again) and creme brule... bottle of St Emilion.
** La Source - Omelets and Croque Madames and cokes and so on --went there several days as it was on the same block as our hotel (Hotel La Tour Maubourg on Rue Grenel)
****
We also ate at Bistrot L&M --- Didn't really think it was very good... I had beef taglitelle and the lady had fish... very average..
Ate at Cafe Roussilon - Had pasta with Chicken -- very diasppointing -- the tomato sauce tasted like it was from a jar.. chicken was less than great.... would drink at this place but never eat again.
Again -- Thank you to all for the info... it helped so much with our planning and enjoyment of the trip..
Having had a great time in Paris, we are nonetheless very happy to be home in New York.
Cheers !!!
