Restaurant in Vienna Help

I am in need of some information regarding Vienna. I am a meeting planner who is holding a meeting there next month. I have been asked to locate and make reservations at a nice restaurant for some attendees. Two of the individuals will be at the Arcotel Wimberger, and the third will be arriving at the airport that evening. They have asked me to find something in between these too locations if possible. A nicer restaurant, food type and price don't matter. Any recommendations?
I could give you more advice if you would say where the Arcotel Wimberger is located. I don't know anything about it. But if one of the attendees is arriving at the airport in the evening, I would suggest you plan a meal not far from the airport. You didn't say where the hotel is located for the person arriving in the evening, but if he/she is staying over, then try to get something between Arcotel and wherever the other person is staying. If the last arrival isn't staying over, then you'd better get something right at or near the airport, because it's sorta out of town. There is a pretty good restaurant at the airport, but nothing special. Some of the hotels near the airport also have good restaurants. If you can answer my questions,I'll try to help more.

I too am an event planner and have a two former hotel friends who live in Vienna, they worked with me at the Watergate. If you wish, e-mail me directly and I will forward their info.to you. We are visiting them in three weeks and speak to them regularly. One actually works for a large conference facility and I am sure can assist.

Try the Altwienerhof. Excellent food, high prices though. Not in the greatest part of town but it has one of the largest wine cellars in the world. They have a great web site at www.altwienerhof.at

I have to disagree about Steiereck. We went in March and I was disappointed after the restaurant's big buildup. Although the meal was good, it was not the best I've ever had in Vienna and I felt the place was a little too grandma-fussy, especially as we ate in the garden room. The wine cellar was great, though, and after the meal (a quiet day, many empty tables), the management let us have an extended wander through the wine cellars, which was fun.
OTOH, I have never been disappointed at the Restaurant zum Weissen Rauchfangkeher (White Chimney Sweep). Service is very good and the meals (about a dozen so far) have always been excellent. The location is very convenient.
