I have booked this B&B for October this year. Has anyone stayed here? They say it is close to the Duomo and the train station. Any feedback would be great. If its a dump, we'll look elsewhere.

Seems to be an okay enough place -- does have parking if that's an important issue. However by looking at their location on map, I'd prefer to stay closer to major sites. Describe themselves as being 5 minutes walk from Duomo, well, looks more like 10 or 15 --- plus other sites that are frequented in Florence (Uffizi, Accademia, Santa Croce) are definitely further than that. Florence is small, with historical center blocked to traffic and so walking distances are important. There are many little hotels or B&B's clustered in central area.<BR>
