I thought I already posted to you. But the gremlins ate it.
Hi Melissa. I would be more than happy to e mail you when I return.
I also have a brochure from the hotel if you would like me to scan it and e mail it to you. I wrote to a poster who had stayed at the hotel and he said that the taxi driver had a little difficulity finding it. It is not really that well marked except by two flower pots at the door.
The brochure has a map on one side. Let me know if you want it. You can mail me .

My wife and I stayed at the Residenza Farnese for 4 nights in late April-early May, 2002, and we really enjoyed staying there. We had a corner room, with large windows on two sides, which gave us nice cross breezes. The rooms are quiet, and appear to be recently updated. The rooms are small (probably average by Rome standards), but are comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was relatively new and very clean -- expect a small shower stall.

The breakfast was not one of our favorites in our two week stay in Italy, but is adequate. We ate breakfast here only once, and skipped the rest of the time.

Front desk staff were all friendly and cordial. They have their own car to take you to/from FCO, at 45 euro (very reasonable). Check-in was fast and easy, after a long day's journey from Positano. This was a very user-friendly hotel in a great location -- I agree with you, the area around the Palazzo Farnese (which is across the street from the hotel)is close to many major sites in the Centro Storico, and is just across the river from Trastevere.

The hotel is very quiet at all hours, which is a major plus in this part of Rome. We were able to open the windows at night, enjoy the night breeze and not worry about oppressive traffic noise. We would definitely return to this hotel on our next visit to Italy.

P.S. An interesting side note: this hotel has a full-size pool table in the common area near the bar. While we didn't use it, it was a nice feature and a little added touch.
Hi Phil
We just returned home on Momday after our stay in Italy.
We were at the Residenza Farnese for two nights.
My husband and I were very pleases with this hotel as you were Phil.
We had a twin bedded room which faced the back. I think the room was about 12 by 12. I do not know if this is standard or small by Rome standards. The twin beds seemed a little more narrow than ours here in the US, but were very comfortable. The room had a armoire, two night stands and a desk. It also had a room safe.
Our bathroom was not huge, but certainly adequate. The room and bathroom were serviced both days with beds being made and towels replaced.
The whole hotel is immaculate.
The staff is very helpful.
We choose the airport shuttle for $28.50 to return to FCO.
The hotel will call a cab anytime for you if you would like to reach a destination by cab instead of walk.
It is on a short one way street which was very quiet.
We are not big breakfast people, but we thought the breakfast was more than adequate. Three kinds of cereal, tea, coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, ham, cheese, jam and honey and fresh lemon for the tea. There were also two kinds of juice and cookies.
All in all at 290 Euros for two nights, we were more than satisfied. Also, the restaurants in the Piazza Farnese and Campo dei Fiori area were plentiful and good.
So now there are at least two current votes for this hotel.
