Renting in southern Italy
I am interested in renting a small house or apartment in Southern Italy for a month in March 2008. I think I will need to be further South than Amalfi in order to have it not be too cold in March.
Does anyone have any recommednations?
I'd like to be in a small town or village so I don't need a car and it would be great if it could be near the ocean. I'd like to be able to get there by train.

Hello Barbbroom,
Tropea, perhaps? Reachable by train, small enough to walk around but large enough that some restaurants should be open. If you have trouble with stairs you may have trouble walking down, or up, from the beaches. The sea is beautiful, and there are great views of Stromboli.
Enter Tropea in the search box here, or Google it for plenty of info.
Good luck.

Is the Cilento coast (south of Amalfi) far enough south for you? We really liked Santa Maria de Castellabate where we stayed a couple of years back, a very pretty coastal resort, or have a look in here:

Can you recommend any nice beach towns on the southwestern coast of Italy between Naples and Tropea?
