Renting cottages in Ireland

Hello!
I posted a similar question on the UK forum (and apologize for repeating myself) but thought I'd ask here too. Any suggestions on agencies and companies from whom we can rent a cottage in Ireland? We are tossing around a trip to the British isles and are debating whether to stay in Ireland or the UK. So we are looking at both regions.

We've gotten some wonderful suggestions for the UK and have looked at Interhome as it covers Ireland too. I realize that some the other companies suggested for the UK may contain homes in Ireland too -- I have not had a chance to peruse them all I am afraid. We have used Rentvillas for Italy, but Rentvillas does not seem to offer homes in Ireland.

Again, I apologize if I am being a bit redundant here!

Thank you in advance!

We rented a cottage in Ireland based on postings I found on this travel board. Couminole Cottage is a beautiful little stone cottage on the Dingle penninsula.

Below is a website that Susan, the owner, sent to me when her cottage was featured in their newsletter.
This isn't a recommendation because I haven't used this website, but honestly if Susan is affiliated with it, then it's good enough for me!

Here are a few places I have bookmarked that cover Ireland, just in case you have not already looked at them. I have not used them -- yet!

I loved Couminole, as well. When I stayed in Donegal, I found a wonderful thatched cottage at www.donegalcottageholidays.com.

I'm heading back -- THIS AFTERNOON! Better finish packing!

This past summer (late June) we rented Hazel Cottage, near the south coast of the Shannon river, for a week. It was way beyond expectations. I mean, WAY beyond. The pictures on their website do not do this place justice.

It is perfect for day drives. The ferry is about 10 km away, cost to cross the Shannon is about $25. That puts the Cliffs of Moher within easy reach.

Same can be said for ROK and Dingle Penninsula.

The O'Briens are the owners and have done a fantastic job on this home. If you want a place to "get away" and yet have a lot of comfort, for a REALLY low price, you can't beat this.

3 bedroom, 2 bath. Sauna, steam shower, large whirlpool tub. Streams, cows and great views.

Here is their website...

And NO, I do not work for them.
