Renting a car in Greece--what is needed?

Do we need anything other than a passport and driver's license to rent a car in Santorini? Do we need to bring proof of insurance or anything?

I just think you need your passport and driver's license. You can also rent mopeds and drive around on those....they are pretty fun and cheaper.

I think you also need an "international drivers license", which you can get at AAA for like $10.

WE have rented cars and scooters in Greece and have not needed an int'l license although we did need a motorcycle at one particular scooter rental place.
